Walt Disney World Bachelorette Guide
“Here we goooooooo, off to Neverland''... I mean… Disney World!
We all know Disney World is a place for the adults who are kids at heart and there is NO SHAME IN THAT! I have compiled a list of fun, adult things to do while you are in Walt Disney World- park by park, country by country, treat by treat, ok… you get the point.
COVID Guidelines
Walt Disney Wold is still a ton of fun with the new guidelines in order! Be prepared before you go to the parks! Masks are required, ear loops are required. This means, no buffs, no mesh/lace masks, no bandanas, no t-shirts, no masks with vents on them. Disney will ask you to put on a proper mask or leave. Also no diapers as a mask(yes, this has happened). Mouth and nose have to be covered. Make sure to make park reservation before hand, no reservation, no entrance. Character meet and greets arent really happening right now. They spontaneously show up but there isn’t a designated meet and greet area. Masks should be on during photos and Cast Members currently can’t take your phone to take your photo for you.
You can park hop now! But you must be at one park until 2PM and then go to your next park.
Currently there are no firework shows, theatrical shows, character meet and greets, or parades. Check the Disney website before you go. These guidelines may have changed, as they change daily!
Magic Kingdom!
The outfit inspo for Magic Kingdom definitely should be catered towards the princesses, glitter, and light, airy colors! The park aesthetic will look great with a lighter color palette and who could go wrong with incorporating princesses?
Of course when you go to Magic Kingdom you are going to want to take the best photos- we went ahead and made a short photo guide for you!
Cinderella’s Castle- in front of the castle, on Main Street USA, the castle is also beautiful on the backside! Other places near the castle: Cinderella's Fountain (right hand side when in front of the castle) and The Wishing Well (left hand side when in front of the castle).
The Purple Wall: Tomorrowland- This is on the right side after you walk through the Tomorrowland archway! You can either take a photo on the solid purple wall or the galactic purple wall (pictured here). Tomorrowland has a ton of super cute walls to take photos in front of, so if you see a wall- snap a photo!
Tangled Rest Area- Fantasyland- This area is magical and also has the cleanest restrooms in Magic Kingdom! Make sure that you find a tree stump and charge your phone- this whole area is full of hidden gems you will be sad you missed!
If we listed all of the photo ops that Magic Kingdom has then this blog would be days long!
Magic Kingdom does not have things like adult beverages unless you make dinner reservations, so you are in charge of making your own magic which is super easy to do when you know where to start!
Rides Adults Will Love: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Carribean, Prince Charming’s Regal Carousel (also awesome photos here!), Space Mountain, and many more!
We all love a good character meet and greet, especially with our favorite princesses, but sometimes they can be ~awkward~, so I have some great tips for how to spark a fun conversation with these characters!
Ariel- We all know Ariel ends up with who I believe to be the most handsome Disney prince out there, so why not ask her about Eric and their wedding since you’re getting married also!
Cinderella- You should ask her to trade your shoe with her beautiful glass slipper to see how she reacts!
Just talking about and reference things that happened in their movies- that's how to have the best character interactions!
It would not be a trip to Magic Kingdom if you don’t have some of the delicious food! Here are a few things we think you will love:
Breakfast (All Quick Service)t: Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich (Sleepy Hollow), Cinnamon Roll or Chocolate Croissant (Gaston’s Tavern), Starbucks (Main Street Bakery)
Lunch/Dinner: Corn Dog Nuggets with French Fries and Cheese Sauce (Casey’s Corner), Pork Carnitas Nachos (Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cavern), literally ANYTHING from Skippers Canteen- this restaurant requires a reservation, but its so worth it for their cocktails!
Epcot!
Our next park was made for adults and you are sure to have a great time! We are headed to Mexico, Canada, Japan, and more to drink the day away in Epcot’s World Showcase!
The vibes in Epcot are very different from those of Magic Kingdom, so here is some outfit inspo for your crew.
Some fun shirt quotes are: “Here for the bibbidi bobbidi booze”, “Drinking around the world”, “Conquering the world one drink at a time”, really anything that is drinking related will suffice!
Epcot’s World Showcase can be kind of overwhelming with all of the options each country has, so we are going to break it down for you by suggesting the best snacks and drinks in our favorite countries!
Mexico- La Cava del Tequila: Every. Single. Margarita. Is. So. Good. But I do think there could be one that tops all of them and that's the Avocado Margarita! We recommend getting the side of queso and chips to accompany the first drink of the day!
Germany: When we think of Germany we think of beer, so you would be doing yourself a disservice if you did not try the other Bärenjäger Honey & Bourbon (Sommerfest) and pair it with a jumbo pretzel!
France: This Orange Slushy (Les Vines des Chefs de France) is perfect on a hot day, but it is definitely not kid friendly! It has Grand Marnier, Rum and Grey Goose Orange and Orange Juice in it. Once you get your orange slush, you should hop on over to Les Halles to get the best macaroons.
Japan: While watching the sun go down after a long day of traveling around the world, sit down with your gals and have a Tokyo Sunset (Kabuki Cafe): Coconut Rum, Peach Schnapps, Banana Liqueur, and Pineapple Juice. While you're getting your drink from Kabuki, go ahead and grab a Kaki Gori- a japanese style snowcone!
America: To round out your day, have something familiar- a nice frozen coke, but with a twist! Try the Frozen Coke with a Float of Buffalo Trace Whiskey (Liberty Inn) and get a delicious funnel cake because you can not go wrong with a funnel cake in Disney World.
Rides You Will Love: Spaceship Earth, Mission: Space, Soarin’ Around the World, Test Track, and even movie rides such as The Seas with Nemo and Friends, as well as Frozen Ever After in Norway!
If you’re not full from all of the snacks, then I have some great meal suggestions for you!
Breakfast (Quick Service & Some Reservations Required): Quiche Lorriane (Les Halles... you really can't go wrong with anything here!), the family style buffet (Akershus Royal Banquet Hall- this is also character dining, so you can see your favorite characters), and of course any country that has a bakery!
Lunch/Dinner (Reservations Required): Quattro Formaggi Pizza (Via Napoli), any of the sushi rolls (Tokyo Dining), Grilled Mahi Mahi (Coral Reef) For any of your cravings or food preferences, you can find something anyone will like in Epcot!
Hollywood Studios!
Lights, Camera, Action… we are heading to Hollywood Studios where you’ll see Army Men, Stormtroopers and Heroes, oh my!
This park is for the gals who love things like Pixar, sing-alongs, shows and Star Wars… Yes, this is where your inner nerd can come out. ;)
Outfits for Hollywood Studios can differ the most amongst your gals! This park caters towards a lot of people's interests, so just go with what you love! Color coordinating is always a good idea so photos are cohesive, but you don't always have to match. ;)
Rides You Are Sure To Enjoy: The Twilight Zone’s Tower of Terror, Star Tours, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, Mickey & Minnies Runaway Railway, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance(boarding reservation required), Slinky Dog Dash, and many many more!
If you love live theatre and shows, then this is the place for you! It will keep you entertained as well as give you a break from walking around in the sun.
Live Shows: Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage, the Indiana Jones Stunt Show Spectacular, and the Frozen Sing-Along are some of the best shows, but there are many more!
Please check COVID guidelines before you go to the parks, most shows are closed!
We know you can’t go a day without taking the cutest and most magical photos, so here are some of the best photo locations:
In front of the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Guitar
Obviously the entrance of Hollywood Studios with the palm trees and the Chinese Theatre in the back.
Slinky Dog Dash- try to snap the photo when Slinky is going by, it makes for a super fun photo!
Anywhere in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge! The entire land is like you are walking into the movie.
The popsicle wall is a fan favorite, but that means that you will have to play some Toy Story Mania before you can get to the wall- oh darn. ;)
Now everyone’s favorite part, food and drinks!
Breakfast (Quick Service): Trolley Car Cafe (Starbucks), Breakfast Bowl (Woody’s Lunch Box), Avocado Toast (ABC Commissary), Overnight Oats (Docking Bay 7)
Lunch/Dinner (Reservations Needed): Our Famous Cobb Salad & Cocktails(Hollywood Brown Derby), Chicken Pasta (Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant- this restaurant is so cool! You sit in an old car like you’re at a drive-in), Aunt Liz’s Golden Fried Chicken (50’s Prime Time Cafe)
Now, Hollywood Studios DOES have some of the best drinks in all of the Disney Parks, so let's name a few. ;)
We’re heading to a bar that's out of this world, Oga’s Cantina (Reservations Required) in Galaxy's Edge!
Bespin Fizz (Left)-Bacardí Superior Rum, Yuzu Purée, Pomegranate Juice, White Cranberry Juice, and a Cloud Swirl
Jedi Mind Trick (Right)- Ketel One Botanical Grapefruit and Rose Vodka, John D. Taylor's Velvet Falernum, Bols Blue Curaçao, White Grape Juice, Lime Juice, and Grapefruit Bitters
Baseline Tap House (Quickservice): This is a popular bar/lunge because of the beer flights that they offer! You can select 4, 5oz beers to try! You should definitely grab the bavarian pretzel while you’re there.
Animal Kingdom!
We’re going to take a walk on the wild side in this park, so make sure to break out the cheetah and zebra print! Note: Animal Kingdom is the hottest park on property due to the humidity level the parks have to have for animal habitats- keep that in mind when getting dressed!
The Best Rides Worth Your Wait: Expedition Everest, Avatar Flight of Passage, Kilimanjaro Safaris (when trying to ride this, ask them if you can get a cart with just your group so you can experience the experience with your besties!), Dinosaur, Na'vi River Journey
Stage Shows That Will Take You On A Journey: Finding Nemo the Musical, Festival of the Lion King, any of the street shows traveling through the countries!
Given that Animal Kingdom does not have as many rides as some of the other parks or as many live shows, this is a good park to have a light, slow day!
This park has some of the best hidden photo opportunities in all of the Parks, so here are a few that will definitely be sure to look good on your Gram.
Tree of Life: It's the castle of Animal Kingdom, you can’t miss it!
Pandora: Pandora the World of Avatar is gorgeous and you will not go wrong taking photos anywhere in this area!
Fichwa! Fellow Mural (Africa): In Swahilli “Fichwa” means hidden, so you have found a hidden Mickey. ;)
Expedition Everest (Asia): Either close up to the mountain or across the water, it is a gorgeous photo background!
After a long day of being in the African Savannah and climbing mountains in Asia, you and your girls are probably exhausted and want to spend some time with good food and drinks! I have just the suggestions for you!
Nomad Lounge (Reservations Needed): This restaurant has endless possibilities on where you can sit and make this dining experience perfect for your crew so we suggest sitting on the Porch overlooking the water! If you want something sweet and refreshing then you should get the Hightower Rocks Cocktail (Casa Dragones Blanco Tequila, Watermelon, Sweet-and-Sour, and Lime Juice)- Nomad has a ton of awesome drinks, so you can't go wrong with whatever you choose!
Yak and Yeti (Reservations Needed): This Asian restaurant is one that you should make time for while you're in Animal Kingdom! Side Note: If you want to spend your day snacking and not worrying about a reservation, then Yak and Yeti also has a quick service window! For our frozen drink gals, this one's for you- Yak Attack- Mango Daiquiri, Don Q Cristal Rum and Wild Berry Flavors! You can not make a wrong choice with any of the Asian choices, but we suggest the Kobe Beef Burger- shiitake mushroom and scallion compote or Asian slaw served with sesame-soy mayonnaise and crispy fries!
Rules to remember:
Check COVID guidelines before you go! It is changing DAILY!
Be nice to cast members. They are trying everything to make you happy at this time.
Go with the flow!
We know this one was quite a bit longer than our normal posts, but Disney is so magical that it needs a little extra. ;) We hope this adult and bachelorette guide gave you a glimpse at what your kid at heart can experience while on the most magical bachelorette trip ever!
