Wedding Wednesdays: Bridgerton Inspired Dress
Dearest Readers,
The ton are abuzz with the latest gossip of this new Netflix show, and so it is my honor to impart to you: Bridgerton Inspired Wedding Dresses. All of which, are Lady Whistledown approved.
A brief history lesson, gentle reader, to set the scene: Dating from 1795 to 1837, the Regency Era is remembered as a kind of mini-Renaissance in Western Europe, where elegant architecture, literature, fine art and fashion thrived. Women's fashions were defined by looser silhouettes, empire waistlines, puff sleeves, gauzy fabrics, botanical prints and glimmering embellishments.
If you are searching for your own gown straight from the windows of The Modiste, or perhaps desire to shine like the "Diamond of the First Water" (read: a total knockout) with a vintage-inspired look on your wedding day, search no further.
While the puff sleeves and relaxed skirt are straight from the Regency Era, the fitted bodice on this dress means you can dress like a Bridgerton stan and still show off your curves. What do we call that? A bridal fashion win.

Danielle Frankel Ruby tulle-trimmed wool and silk-blend satin gown, $5,990, DanielleFrankelStudio.com
Perfect for the minimalist who appreciates an antique flourish or two, unique lace and a square neckline give this streamlined silhouette an heirloom quality.
You don't have to skimp on ornate details for a less formal event. Case in point: This gorgeous -linen-blend dress embroidered with blooming flowers.
While design details like punchy colors, glittering adornments, and puff sleeves filled our screens, corsetry also came into play. To achieve a similar lift as you'd get from a corset, opt for a wedding dress with a bustier bodice.
Anna October Snowdrop Dress, $616,
This endlessly sweet off-the-shoulder dress is reminiscent of what Daphne Bridgerton might wear as a nightgown. For a dreamy and boudoir-inspired second look – this frock will do just the trick.
Now my dears, you’re all prepared for a royal affair.
