In the mood for trying out native food? Go to Suki Jerk Center! Jerk is a style of cooking native to Jamaica where the meat, chicken or pork, is dry rubbed or marinated with a hot spice mixture called jerk. Suki Jerk also has a pool to dip in your toes while enjoying your food!
For a Fancier Feel…
Spring Garden Seafood and Steakhouse is more of an upscale dining experience, but nonetheless the taste is top notch for tourists and locals alike!
Stuff to Do!
If you’re in Jamaica you have to visit and try out their many water related activities. One of our favorites are the beautiful waterfalls.
Dolphin Cove is the place to be for my animal lovers out there! You can swim with the adorable dolphins or explore the cove, which extends out to five acres of tropical rainforest. Don’t be scared if you hear squawking, you’ll encounter the vividly colored birds living in the rainforest.
Blue Hole is a jungle paradise. The crystal clear water shines with such an intense blue color and surrounded by greenery you can’t help but feel you’re dreaming.
Can’t get enough water, but want to enjoy the scenery? Try Bamboo rafting! You can sit back and relax while a local talks to you about the scenery or you can try it out yourself. Fun fact: bamboo used to be an invasive plant in Jamaica and eventually the islanders made use of it for infrastructure and other things such as bamboo rafting!
