New York Restaurant Series
“Welcome to New York, It's been waiting for You!” Thanks Taylor Swift for the amazing intro.
We've all been to New York right? Bustling streets, taxi’s cruising by honking at one another, hundreds of people catching the metro all going places to grab a bite and have a few chats!
There are thousands, probably millions of places you have to try when in New York, but i'm going to give you the ESSENTIAL ones. There really isn’t enough time in the day to list all of them. The longer you visit the more you can achieve but for now, here’s what I recommend; based on aesthetics, location, the drink list & obvi the food.
These pass the vibe check
The Market Line - Underground at Essex Crossing. Essentially one of the coolest foo halls New York has to offer consisting of a total 140 vendors once complete! Multiple vendors have small seating acting as small restaurants in a big communal spot! Essex Pearl, The Peoples Wine shop and Bar, Pickle Guys, Rustic Table, and so much more!
Pasta tasting. You heard me. A pasta tasting - Rezdora You can do regular plates and entrees but i highly recommend the pasta tasting, because you get it ALL. Expect to spend close to 100$ because let's be real you'll probably have a glass of wine or two and you can’t forget the tip!
ALTA NYC - Uber hip setting with some stylish Mexican cuisine. Count me in! Lobster Burrito, A Michelada and Blueberry Poundcake. What a MEAL.
Meet you at Fish Cheeks- loud, vibrant authentic Thai meals packed with FLAVOR! Coconut Crab Curry paired with the Butterfly Effect.
Gertie’s Summer Shack! Summer long walk in restaurant serving an outdoor friendly menu of bar snack favorites GERTIE -style! Pickle Plate, Dirty Popcorn, Seafood Snacks, Grilled Cheese, Shrimp Rolls. Paired with Pina-Colada-Ish or Natty Wines on Draft! This cute place also offers Gertie’s Good Shop with has Bottles of wine, plants, flowers and coffee/sauces!! SO CUTE!
Visit Ops- Obsessive over pizza, well this sourdough crust will have you wanting seconds! Maybe even thirds! Marinated Feta and a Margarita pizza paired with a glass of red wine or a nice hoppy IPA!
Bohemian Bar - Bohemianism is the practice of an unconventional lifestyle, often in the company of like-minded people. It involves musical, artistic, literary or spiritual pursuits. It comes from the French word bohémien. They offer a great sound system and comfortability! Great Cocktail list of wines & craft beers & cocktails! AMAZING snack menu
