WELCOME TO CAMP KAPLAN!
This bachelorette was one for the books in Palm Springs, California. From the balloon installation to the photoshoot to Hamptons style dinner and everything in between, Camp Kaplan was the place to be. We were so excited to have the opportunity to help with Jillian’s Bachelorette. Jordyn, the Maid of Honor and Jillian’s sister, reached out to me earlier this year about helping with making this weekend one of a kind for the bride to be. We hopped on a call and ideas started flowing. They knew they wanted a Palm Springs vibe, but didn’t have an exact idea in mind, and that’s where we came in! #wevegotyourbach
As soon as we got off the phone, we called our #1 girl, Pria & Co.!! If you didn’t already know, Pria is our in-house designer here at GYB. We started designing right away and we ended up with the most perfect branding for this weekend. We wanted it to be original & mostly, one of a kind, so we came up with CAMP KAPLAN! Honestly, it was the most perfect theme to tie the whole weekend together. Make sure to check out the little details that we offered, through our event branding package! From the initial Camp Kaplan invite, to an event logo, to the perfectly curated pink and white straws with the crest on them, every single detail was perfect.

Night One at Camp Kaplan
Heather, with Heather Lane Events and my bestie, we’re able to get the girls to check in to Hotel El Cid two hours early so that we could get things set up before the girls arrived. Coming from two event planners that do this type of stuff often, make sure give yourself more time than you think you need. Blowing up balloons, putting together welcome bags, etc. is more time consuming than we ever plan for some times! So always make sure to give yourself a good amount of time. The girls went out to get drinks beforehand, so it definitely helped alleviate some time! We got to set up our photo booth with our newest partners over at Pixilated and it was one of the biggest hits all weekend! They send your photo booth rental to your location, you set it up, have fun with it all weekend, then pack it up and send it back!
How cool is that?!
We got everything done just in the knick of time for the girls to arrive at 4pm! They were SO excited and all the details looked so good.

Day Two at Camp Kaplan
They did a Hamptons themed Lobster dinner catered by F10 Catering! They said it was one of the best dinners they had ever had. We then set up our DIY balloon kit from Lushra with some palm leaves scattered in on the cabana and over the dinner table! It was the perfect addition. We did a red and white striped table runner with navy gingham napkins that had Camp Kaplan embroidered on them. We added palm leaves under the plates as “chargers” and it was the perfect addition to tie back to the Palm Springs vibe. Jordyn had tequila shooter shot glasses with each girl’s name on them as place cards then we added the menus on each place setting. It was the most adorable set up.
Then after dinner, we had surprised them with a Galentine’s party! How perfect right?! We set up heart balloons on the photo backdrop and the girls wore navy striped pajamas. Can we say #adorbs? They played our bachelorette games that you can find HERE and just had so much fun hanging with their gal pals. We had set up a candy bar too, which was the perfect dessert after their lobster dinner.

Day Three at Camp Kaplan
Saturday morning was a mimosa and bagel brunch provided by Wexler’s. The weather was perfect so we set it up outside so the girls could enjoy breakfast and start getting some sun. Heather and I went to grab lunch, then came back to do a poolside photoshoot with the most amazing balloon installation from Magical Balloon Decor. Thanks to Funboy the girls had the BEST time with all the pool floats that are literally every bachelorette dream. Check them out to see which one you need to get for your next bachelorette or summer.
Once they were done in the sun, the girls headed inside to get ready for dinner. The theme for this night was Tropical and boy, did they look the part? We had set up a cocktail party by the pool for the girls to hang out before heading to dinner. We surprised them with a mini photoshoot from Abbie Mae Photography, but that wasn’t the only surprise of the night?!
MANSERVANTS! Oh my word, y’all. If you are in Los Angeles, Palm Springs, or New York for a bachelorette, the Manservants are a must. Jillian had no idea they were coming and it was the BEST surprise. If you don’t know anything about them, their name gives it away. They will come to your bachelorette pad and treat you like the queen you deserve to be. The Manservants were making drinks all night, taking photos for the girls, and just being the sweetest guys ever. Every girls dream. One of them even went and changed into his mini swim trunks for the Honeymoon shower part of the evening. Each girl brought a gift for Jillian and she had to guess who bought that gift. It was SO fun!
After the cocktail party, the girls got in their party bus and headed to the Pink Cabana for dinner. Heather, my sister and I had dinner there the night prior for Valentine’s Day, so I can attest to the food. It was incredible and not to mention the cutest place ever. The Pink Cabana is located in the Sands Hotel and Spa in Indian Wells and is about 30 minutes away from Downtown Palm Springs.
Before heading back to Los Angeles, the girls got their stuff packed up and headed out the door for one more activity. They went to drag brunch at Azucar. I mean… every bachelorette must end with drag queens and mimosas right?! They did one last toast to Mrs. Jacobs before she becomes Mrs. Kaplan!
We had so much fun (probably too much) hanging with the girls all weekend. We can’t wait to be back in Palm Springs for another bachelorette this year. Feel free to ask us any questions below about the décor, what they did, etc. or head to our Instagram to check out Camp Kaplan in our highlights.
