Orlando, Florida Bachelorette Guide
An Orlando Bachelorette Guide for the Non Disney Bride
Did you know Orlando has other things besides Disney and Universal? Shocking, I know! Orlando is a city full of diversity, culture and great food! Here’s an Orlando Bachelorette guide without setting foot inside a theme park with a castle, mouse, or wizard!
To all my Disney Bachelorettes, yes there is a guide coming soon! After working for Disney(yes, former cast member here) you eventually get bored of Disney and want to explore Orlando!
For a lot of bachelorettes, Air BNB tends to be the way to go. When it comes to the city of Orlando(not Kissimmee a.k.a House of Mouse), get a hotel. Orlando has over 400 hotels, so it can definitely be overwhelming! Here are our top three hotels!
Grand Bohemian Hotel is my personal favorite hotel in Downtown Orlando! Grand Bohemian is a AAA 4-Diamond(many of you many not care, but from a hotel stand point…THAT’S HUGE)! The properties architecture, artwork, and atmosphere make it ideal for Instagram photo opportunities! Grand Bohemian is located right by all the bars, restaurants, and Lake Eola! From the spa, restaurants, pool and overall facilities, you’ll always be entertained. Grand Bohemian is a place you and your girl squad will love!
Embassy Suites. WOAH! Doesn’t that name ring a bell? What a throw back?! Remember Embassy Suites? Or did I just unlock a memory that you forgot you had? My question is why aren’t you staying there more? There are so many reasons to stay there! Beds are always comfy and service is fantastic.
Top Three Reasons to Stay at Embassy Suites:
It’s a suite. An actual suite. You have a couch, kitchen, and TONS of room. You could probably have 4-6 to a room.
FREE BREAKFAST. Not just pastries and cereal. It’s a full on hot breakfast bar. Again, money saver.
Complimentary Evening Reception, in other words, FREE HAPPY HOUR. Read that again FREE HAPPY HOUR! Each night for 2 hours they have free booze and light bites. ARE YOU KIDDING? This alone makes me want to go.
If the free booze and free breakfast aren’t enough, this Embassy Suites is located right on International Drive. This makes everything super walkable or an uber that doesn’t cost $30-$40.
Girl, I know I said no theme parks. I actually said no going inside one. This hotel has to be one of the most baller, bada** hotels I have ever stayed at! Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Resort Orlando!
Their tag line is “Amplify Your Vacation” and this hotel will do that! Hard Rock does tend to be a little bit pricey but you get what you pay for and it is worth it. If you’re wanting to do Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure you get a FREE express pass(YES FREE! Those things are anywhere from $60-$80 on top of your ticket price).
The aesthetic of Hard Rock is perfect for the bride that’s a little edgy. Maybe she wants to have a Leather and Lace or 90’s Grunge theme, the photos here would be incredible for that!
The pool at the Hard Rock Hotel is in the top of pools in Orlando for me. You can get cabanas, drinks, sometimes they have a DJ outside. They also have speakers UNDERWATER SO YOU CAN HEAR THE MUSIC! You and your girls can definitely make it a club like scene!
The Palm is a must do at the Hard Rock. The Palm is an upscale steak house! Get dressed up and go out for a nice meal! The staff treats you, well like a rock star. If you’re celebrating something, they will go above and beyond to make you feel special! Must try items: King Crab Risotto, Pan Seared Scallops and the filet(topped with the lobster truffle butter) Am I currently drooling at my computer? Yes.
For me, The Palm is a must do in Orlando, not just if you’re staying at the Hard Rock!
Fun Fact: Bring It On 4: In It To Win It was filmed here! If you were a cheerleader in the early 2000’s and remember that movie, places will start to look very familiar!
P.S. This hotel is also dog friendly, so a drunk doggo run in is bound to happen. Aren’t those the best?
Now for the most important meal of the day, BRUNCH! Who doesn’t love brunch? Orlando has amazing options for brunch. Many of them are walking distance from bars! This way the day drinking can continue!
One of my favorite places in Orlando for brunch is Cafe Tu Tu Tango! Besides the name being fun to say, the atmosphere is always a party and the food is phenomenal! This great brunch spot is located right on International Drive! This makes it perfect to continue Sunday Funday(or Saturday, they do offer Saturday brunch.) All the art inside and unique outside, give you many Instagram photo opportunities. There is never a dull moment at Cafe Tu Tu Tango!

Now if we aren’t doing theme parks in Orlando, what else is there to do! Well, tons actually! Many people only relate Orlando to the theme parks! You’ll see why Orlando is so much more than that.
Located at Icon Park, we have Tin Roof with The Green Room! The name Tin Roof may ring a bell since it is a national chain but the Orlando location is worth the visit! Tin Roof Orlando is hands down my favorite place in Orlando! I spent 95% of my time here. According to my bank statements, I spent most of my paychecks here.
Tin Roof always has live music! You can see many local bands(my personal fave is Stereo FM), different DJ’s, and even comedians from time to time as well. Tin Roof also does have a full menu and fantastic brunch options. Sometimes they have themed brunches on Sundays. The Drag Queen brunch is one of the best! Never a dull moment! The staff will make sure you’re celebrated and guarantee you a good time!
Besides friending the staff(literally I planned one of the bartenders weddings), Tin Roof has my heart for another reason. When I was a cast member, I used to go to Jelly Rolls (currently closed due to COVID-19) to see dueling pianos, along with phenomenal talent. Through the years, I became friends with one of the pianists, Rob. He gained the nickname Piano Rob around the Orlando community. People come from so many different places to see him perform. He has gained such a huge following! Tin Roof now has Rob perform often in The Green Room. If you have a chance to catch him perform, you won’t want to miss it!
Tin Roof Orlando, one of my favorite places. It’ll become one of yours too.
A top notch place for you and your girls to go out dancing, drinking, and good vibes is Celine! Celine has an awesome rooftop bar and incredible DJs performing. Celine has hosted major headliners! Check their website to see who is performing! They do have a weekly mid week event called Sundown. This event gets you over the midweek slump. If you arrive Wednesday night, it is such a great night to go!
Well that wraps it up for Orlando, from a former resident! This was just a small taste of it. We could honestly have more blogs on Orlando! I can’t wait for you experience Orlando for yourself!
For our Disney Brides, your blog post is coming soon 💖
