Wedding Wednesdays: Spring Wedding Trends
Spring Wedding Trends 2021
March into wedding season fully c-April-able of handling anything that May come your way! With coronavirus still making itself known throughout cities across the globe, the wedding industry has sure taken a hit and required critical changes to be made in order to safely say ‘I do.’ In hopes of not having to postpone these major life events, many brides have taken it upon themselves to switch up their weddings, creating new trends for the Spring of 2021. Check out our curated list below! Hopefully if you’re stuck in a rut trying to plan for your big day some of these ideas may help!
Outdoor Weddings
It has been reported that the risk of catching the virus is much lower outdoors than indoors, skyrocketing the amount of outdoor weddings we are currently seeing and will continue to see in the future.
Backyard Weddings
With venues shutting down in order to protect their space and employees, rightfully so, many weddings have been moved to private backyards, some even renting out airBNBs to host their weddings!
Small Weddings
With numerous rules and regulations being put in place, many brides have had to slash their guest list in half in order to safely congregate!
Eloping & Courthouse Weddings
With the future of our social lives up in the air, many couples have thrown their hands up and chosen to elope or have a simple, yet effective, courthouse wedding, with plans of a party in the future.
Plated Meals
While plated meals have been known to have a high price tag in comparison to buffet style dinners, again in response to the current pandemic, many couples have taken this route in order to decrease contact amongst their guests when it comes to meal time.
Personalized Appetizers & Charcuterie Boards
Charcuterie boards have been all the rage this past year, ranging from classic cheese and crackers, to mac and cheese, to dessert heaven! Who wouldn’t want one (or a few) at their wedding!? Some couples have taken it to the next level though and created personalized boards for each individual guest in order to, again, maintain the least amount of contact during cocktail hour!
Unrelated to any pandemic, these few other Spring trends have gained popularity on their own and will thrive under any conditions!
